Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park(130km – 2 hours)

Pick up from Arusha Crown Hotel at 0800am and drive on tarmac road 130km with lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park (330 sq km or 127 sq mile’s) on the base of the Great Rift Valley, for the Afternoon game drives. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.

The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zone. Thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. Day 2: Twiga Campsite – Serengeti Seronera Campsite(205km – 4 hours)

Breakfast at 0600am. Drive to Serengeti National Park (14,763 sq km) for a game drive via Ngorongoro Crater rim. Tanzania’s oldest and most popular National Park, also a world heritage site. The Serengeti National Park is a Tanzanian national park in the Serengeti ecosystem in the Mara and Simiyu regions. The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa. The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater Rim(145km – 3 hours)

Continue with very early morning game drives in the Serengeti National Park. Breakfast at 0900am. Thereafter drive with your Lunch Packed to Ngorongoro Crater Rim with afternoon Game drive en route. Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains at extra cost. Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. On the way to the crater rim by option you can visit Olduvai which was the first place where traces of an early stone tool culture were discovered, and gave the name to the Oldowan/Oldupai. This Gorge is where the English pair, Louis and Mary Leaky pioneered excavation work. In the sixties some of the earliest archaeological deposits of human evolution was found and a small museum documents these discoveries. Also you can choose to visit the shifting sands. Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Floor – Kilimanjaro Airport(240km – 4 hours)

Breakfast at 0600am. Thereafter descend into Ngorongoro Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for a the game drive. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs and the large soda lake. Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. After game drive and Picnic Lunch Packed, drive back to Kilimanjaro Airport for the flight home/Zanzibar. Meal Plan: {B, L}.
